Chilli Paneer
Ingredients
For batter
300 gm paneer / cottage cheese
1 / 4 cup cornflour
1 / 4 cup maida / all purpose flour
1 tsp soya sauce
A pinch of baking powder
Salt to taste and water for batter
Other ingredients
1 / 2 cup sliced onion
1/4 cup sliced capsicum
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp soya sauce
1 tsp chilli sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp cornflour mixed with 3 tsp water
2 tsp oil
Salt to taste
Method
.combine all the ingredients of the batter in a bowl and make a smooth batter by adding water.
.coat paneer pieces with the batter and deep fry in hot oil till paneer is golden brown.
.Drain on kitchen napkin and keep it aside.
How to proceed.
.take wok heat oil add ginger garlic paste cook for a while now add sliced onion sauté it .
.add sliced capsicum cook for a minute now add all leftover ingredients ,fried paneer and cornflour paste.stir and cook over on medium flame around 2 mins.or until gravy turns thick.
.shift chilli paneer in to serving dish and serve as starter or with fried rice.
Note.
Garnish with chopped spring onions
