Dal Makhani
Dal Makhani is one of the most popular punjabi recipe.It is not only popular in North India but also in all over India.It is also known as langar wali dal in Amritsar. There are many methods of making dal makhani but I shared very simple method .With this recipe you can enjoy punjabi dal makhani at home.
How to make it
Ingredients
1 cup whole black lentils /urad dal
1/4 cup red kidney beans /rajma
3 chopped onion
4 tomato puree
2tsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp cumin seeds / jeera
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder /dhainya powder
1 tsp garam masala
1/2 cup cream
3 tsp butter
2 tsp oil
Half chopped ginger
4 cups Water
Chopped coriander leaves

Method
.Soak black dal and rajma overnight in 4 cups of water.
.cook the soaked dal and rajma in same water with half chopped ginger piece till dal and rajma are cooked and soft.
.heat oil and butter add cumin seeds when it crackles add chopped onion ..cook for 5 mins...now add tomato puree and all masalas. ..stir it continuously. ..
.In this masala add boiled dal with same water and cream ..(mash dal with masher for thickness).cook for 15 mins on medium flame.
.ready to serve..garnish with chopped coriander leaves .enjoy with roti naan rice.
Note.
Instead of cream you can used malai
