CHATPATE BAINGAN(eggplant )


It is an instant recipe to be served with roti as lunch or dinner. Lots of masalas being used to make it a very delicious dish. A healthy dish which is good for all and another variety in which we could use eggplant.

how to make it

for filling 
500 gm Baingan(eggplant)
1tsp red chilli powder
2 tsp raw mango powder ( amchur)
1tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp turmeric powder/haldi
1 tsp coriander powder
salt to taste

for gravy
1 cup tomato puree
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp raw mango powder( amchur)
1 tsp cumin seeds/jeera
salt to taste
oil

method
. wash baingans and dry them with clothes or towel.

. cut the baingans into center for filling.

.in a bowl add all filling masalas and mix it .

. now fill the masalas in all baingans and keep aside for 5-10 minutes.

. take a wok..heat oil add cumin seeds when it crackles... add tomato puree and add all gravy masalas.

. when it started leaving oil..add baingans carefully and 1/4 cup of water.

. when water soaked down and check whether baingans turned soft or not ..if they do, then its ready.

. serve it with whatever u wish

note.

.use small baingans for this recipe

.enjoy it with roti naan and rice
